Why did you choose to seek the Dufferin-Caledon People's Party of Canada nomination?
As a life long resident of the Dufferin-Caledon region, I feel and hear from fellow Canadians over the years who all want change in Ottawa. I felt like the people were stuck in a vicious cycle of political agendas and backroom deals. I watched two parties that used to offer a diverse choice become closer and closer together in their policies. Too many politicians have lost sight of their role in being a politician to help Canadians and make Canada better instead of just winning an election. I am a hard-working Canadian that has been able to experience life at all income levels. This has given me the ability to relate to the people who live in subsidized housing, to the people who earn at the highest income level. I came from a long line of typical hard-working Canadians who, when government policies forced manufacturing out of Canada, worked twice as hard and sacrificed to provide for their families. I have developed and help run one of the largest auto finance brokers in the country - going into politics was a distant thought until Maxime Bernier formed the People's Party of Canada after leaving the Conservatives stating "they are morally and intellectually corrupt". I read the People's Party of Canada platform and I was empowered to see such a sensible platform with the People's Party of Canada not being scared to bring in bold reform. The People's Party of Canada made me want to fight for a better country, one in which hard-working families can get ahead. I tell my children and grandchild that if you believe in something do something about it. Too many stand idly by and want change but don't know where to start. I wanted to give the people of Dufferin-Caledon a fresh perspective, a person who they can start to make a change with. Chad Ransom the People's Party of Canada.
How will you represent Dufferin-Caledon at the federal level?
I will represent Dufferin-Caledon with tenacity, I am here to make change and not to get a job. I have always been a straight shooter who is not scared to tackle issues. My work ethic is unbeatable and my passion to complete the goals set out before will never give up. I want to ensure that as the People's Party of Canada M.P. for Dufferin-Caledon I will be accountable to my constituents.
What do you consider are the top 2 issues on Dufferin-Caledon voters’ minds?
Putting money back in the hands of Canadians is what everyone in the People's Party of Canada is hearing across the country. The People's Party of Canada will lower the cost of cell phone bills by abolishing the CRTC. Canadians also pay too much for milk, eggs and poultry. These basic needs being overpriced put a strain on many families. When we put an end to supply management it will help lower the cost of basic needs that every child in Canada deserves. Also by only having a 2-tier tax structure Canadians will come out ahead. With your first $15,000 dollars being tax-free from the federal government it will allow our lower-income families in Dufferin-Caledon a chance for a better quality of life. For people who make $15,000-$100,000 your tax will only be 15% and for Canadians over $100,000 the tax will be 25%. How are we going to do this? Well the answer is simple - we want to stop the drain of tax dollars leaving the country - it is time the Canada invests in its own future. Also cutting funding to places like the CBC will allow the Peoples Party of Canada to lower taxes.
The second thing on many minds is what is the People's Party of Canada going to do in order to stimulate business and growth in our country? To start we plan to reduce corporate tax to 10% which can allow new business to grow and flourish in our country. The entrepreneurs will be able to bring their goods and services to market easier. Innovation in the private sector always leads to a bigger positive solution to social matters such as climate change. By eliminating provincial tariffs the whole country now becomes open for business allow goods to travel coast to coast for the betterment of all Canadians. Agriculture as well will see a reduction in tax to 10% giving farmers huge savings in order to operate.
What is your plan to connect with residents?
